I’d love to tell you a little about myself and how I got into real estate.

I was originally born in Auckland, New Zealand until moving to Arizona with my mother when I was 8 years old in 1983, and I have lived in Phoenix ever since.

I’ve worked in many industries over the years prior to finding my footing in real estate. That included selling printers for Hewlett-Packard, managing fencing projects for American Fence, and then being an account rep for a startup CD/DVD replication business. As the DVD industry was being eviscerated by online streaming, I decided it was time to try my hand at real estate in 2010. Yep, you read that right, I jumped into real estate in the literal midst of the worst housing crisis in US history..

But that’s when I knew I’d find my calling, working with a real estate investor and educating homeowners on how to sell their upside down homes through short sales to avoid foreclosure and all of the other pitfalls that come along with it. I feel that I’m a compassionate person by nature, so speaking with overleveraged homeowners about their options came easily, and honestly, it was fulfilling to know that I was genuinely helping people with their situations.

Fast forward 8 years (2018), I partnered up with two colleagues to form Big 3 Homes, purchasing homes through mailing letters and cold calling (yuck). Needless to say, it seems that I am now just one of 100s of outfits calling and texting people to buy houses in this ultra competitive market.
